March 31, 2004 on 12:51 am | In Blogger | No CommentsI did my laundry today. In my load of laundry were the hello kitty pj’s that Steph loved wearing, the blue hooded sweatshirt Breelee borrowed, the pair of courderouy pants that were dirty from the hike Kevin and I took, and my favorite blue shirt that I stained somehow but don’t know how I did because I wear it so much I don’t recall trivial things like that.
What sort of love is in your laundry?

March 30, 2004 on 12:15 am | In Blogger | No CommentsOh, the things you can buy on eBay!
I am happy because math is happy, so that makes everything seem happy. Seriously. When you do much better on your 101 exam then you think after talking about the irrationality of pi and then walk into the easiest diff eq’s lecture known to God and then find out you’ll be getting a pretty straightforward take-home due Monday, life isn’t so bad. Of course, talk to me after this is over and maybe I’ll be thinking not so much. But for now I like spacing out and enjoying the fact that math is in balance. It’s like finding a certain nirvana or something–it doesn’t happen every day of the semester.
Today was so pretty that Kevin and I had dinner outside in Seal Court. I like pretty days and special people.
In dance we got to polka! Polka is the best dance, ever. Sean and I should go for the Polka Queen position again–maybe this year we can get it! Of course, Lisa is the Polka Queen because Lisa roxors, so it would be tough competition! I bow to the current Polka Queen ~_~
I shall be doing my hair in pigtails and borrowing suspenders again, in any event. Fa la la, fa la la, fa la la, la! Clap, clap, here we go again, here we go again, here we go again…

March 24, 2004 on 2:18 am | In Blogger | No CommentsThe unfair thing about college work is, as Rebecca pointed out, it seems frustrating that there’s always at least one major thing due for the week. Be it a midterm, test, killer homework set, project, etc., it’s always *something.* Though I will say the people in the nerdery 2 (what I’m calling the Pomona math commons room) made me laugh today. Allison and Aya and I were studying for a test tomorrow, when some of the guys in our 101 class walked in, and one said, “It’s nights like this when I hate being a math major…my psych major friends are off watching a movie tonight…” Not always the case, but sometimes it feels that way…that can be a two-way street though.
All right, enough bitching about work. Hmm let’s see…not much else is new, or nothing worth mentioning. I better sleep, I think I’ll be getting up at 8a or something.

March 23, 2004 on 1:00 am | In Blogger | No CommentsWhoa, we’re at 6,000 hits! And I just realized that I missed Jerry’s birthday…:sigh: Maybe my art project really is coming true. I’ll have to make it up to him somehow.

March 23, 2004 on 12:55 am | In Blogger | No CommentsCypress found my ID and brought it to me this evening, after which earlier this afternoon I bought another ID because I thought I lost it on the hike. Blah. Oh well, at least I got a new ID out of it, and I have an old ID that I thought was gone. So now I have 2 ID’s.
Eva got the Fulbright Scholarship! We’re very happy for her. Joey was funny with it earlier though–he IMed me and was like, “she’s making us look bad again.” But yes, she’ll be studying in Germany, researching medieval textbooks, I think.

March 22, 2004 on 12:04 am | In Blogger | No CommentsI think this is the longest I have gone without blogging. I guess that’s what happens when I’m on vacation and having a good time. Yes, if you are ever wondering why I don’t blog or go online sometimes, it’s usually because I’m NOT procrastinating/suffering through work, so not being online can be a good sign for me.
But yes, I suppose I owe you an update. Spring Break was AWESOME! I had such a blast seeing you guys! And Santa Monica! Disneyland! Getting lost in LA!! Yeah, I’d totally go back and enjoy myself again. Good thing Caesar Chavez Day is next Friday, because I’m already still in the break-mode. And I have a lot of work to do between now and Wednesday. Blah.
This weekend was good…Friday we went on a hike, and Saturday we saw the botanical gardens for the first time. They’re huge, and the flowers in the garden are ever-so-pretty. Then we went to Del Taco for dinner. Today was a lot of work, but I got a decent amount done. Not as much as I meant to get done, but oh well.
