Everyone is standing around in their pajamas, freezing and tired, until finally the alarm is turned off and the proctor gives the go-ahead for everyone go to back to their rooms and sleep.]

Mona Lisa Descending the Stairs
January 17, 2007 on 9:32 pm | In personal | No CommentsHere is a rather cool video that I would like to share:
I like it because it’s weird, hallucinogenic, and arty, while still holding my interest. And I can’t help but admit that this video shows how limited my painting recognition is….
vegas meeting
January 13, 2007 on 1:26 am | In personal | No CommentsI put some photos from the sales meeting in Vegas this week…we had a blast!
I had dinner at the Stratosphere on Monday night but accidentally deleted those photos. D’oh! At least the view from the rides is imprinted into my brain.
we are moving!
January 13, 2007 on 12:54 am | In THEBOOK | No CommentsMarcello [at the Stratusphere, who was exhausted from International travel from Brazil]: ….The lights, the balcony, the city outside…everything is moving at this place. I don’t understand it.
Renee: Marcello, I think you may be tired but could figure it out if you thought about it.
Marcello: But even the lights on the ceiling are going around all funny. [Marcello thinks about it] Oh, oh! I see…we are moving!
Renee: Very good!
winner
January 12, 2007 on 9:27 pm | In THEBOOK | No CommentsJorge (at a Vegas casino): Right, so, it’s late and I am really tired. However, I am on my last $1.15 and don’t feel like walking to the cash machine, so Talya, just take this dollar ticket to the nearest slot machine at the casino, and we’ll just play it for another thirty seconds or so until it runs out.
[Talya puts the ticket in the slot machine, then she wins back $6.50]
Talya: I think we’re going to be here a lot longer than thirty seconds, Jorge.
this guy sucks
January 12, 2007 on 9:20 pm | In THEBOOK | No CommentsSteve (speaking at a conference table): Are there any questions so far?
[Steve looks around and then points to Gerry]
Gerry: Hmm? My hand wasn’t raised.
[Steve squints]
Steve: Oh, I’m sorry…I didn’t notice the vacuum behind you and thought that the handle was your arm in the air.
Gerry: Oh, this guy? No, he just sucks.
busy bee
January 4, 2007 on 12:07 am | In personal | No CommentsAck, this week has been really busy, preparing for the Sales Meeting in Las Vegas. The only thing about working for a small business means that you have to sweep the rug and do the accounting, so to speak. But we’re slowly but surely getting it done.
Last year Lisa made a point that that working a full time job means you have something like three hours a day for personal time (obviously her latest post does not indicate this). I think this is a severe underestimate…both of us forgot to account for personal bills, grocery shopping, errands, general rat race stuff. College is about busyness due to barely keeping up with homework and yet saving yourself so much time just by not having to do anything else. The Real World is busyness due to no time to do all the little things that make everything turn.
And to think I was looking forward to no more schoolwork.
