What Type Of Anime Character Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Well, that was fun.
Math was okay this morning. I like that class too much to complain.
After math, Camille and I grabbed food for the dorm. Then I made use of Camille’s tv to watch this thing Professor Macko gave our discussion group (two people plus I will be leading a discussion in Art 141 about women bodybuilders, and plastic surgery this Thursday). The video was entitled Pumping Iron II: Women in Bodybuilding. I found the video fascinating. You see, women in bodybuilding—they look like mini Arnold Schwarzineggers. But, that’s just it. In femaile bodybuilding competitions, women are not judged simply on how many pounds of weightlifting they can bench, but to what degree the women are as feminine…in other words, they need to be muscular, but they need to have curves and a rack. The judges treat them like Barbie bodybuilders or something. Quite chauvenistic, if you ask me.
So, the video focuses on three women. The first and probably the most intriguing is one woman from Australia named Bev, and by default, she should win. She has the biggest muscles; she is known as the strongest woman in the world. The second woman, Rachel, is American, and she’s pretty well-balanced in body shape, but she’s pretty as well. She has good hair and good muscles. The third contestant is this woman from New Jersey who has good muscle tonage but happens to be pretty as well. So, although Bev should have won, the truth is, she finished last in the finals, and 8th in the overall competition. Rachel finished third because shewas wearing an illegal swimsuit for a few of the events and lost points there.
The girl from New Jersey won.
After that, I worked on Writing 50 for awhile…then we went to dinner. Dinner was delicious tonight—they catered from a sushi bar and had a guy sitting there making sushi for all of us. I had some of the vegetarian-style. I also had some cheesecake and salad—yum!
After dinner was probably the highlight of the evening. We went to a Halloween costume ball at Pomona. Camille, Becca, Katie, Sarra, and I all dressed in the pretty Rennaisance dresses Camille’s mom brought over (Elizabeth took pictures, so I promise you’ll be getting some!), and we all fit in just perfectly with all the costumes. I think the best part of the evening was when I got to tango to The Phantom of the Opera with Matt, who is this amazing dancer. However, I danced with quite a few guys, even though tangoing to Phantom of the Opera was the best part. I learned tonight to beware of the Vietnese Waltz.
After the ball, we went over to a party at Mudd. We met a few nice CalTech guys, who all seemed very sweet.
Jessie’s coming in only a week! I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I CAN’T WAIT!!!
