Paul Wellstone, a wonderful man and a senator from Minnesota, died today in a plane crash with his family.
What an indifferent universe we live in.
Ack, blogger is down, so I’m typing this on Word tonight.
I spent the afternoon in the library, researching. Jolly.
Everyone today has been trying to explain to me Daylight Savings time. And for the life of me, I just can’t get it.
So, Kelly, explain this to me again. We set back our clocks one hour?
Yes, Talya. One hour.
WHOA, WHOA, whoa, whoa, wait just one minute. One hour?
One hour.
WHOA, WHOA, whoa, whoa, wait just one minute. We set back our clocks one hour?
One hour.
WHOA, WHOA, whoa, whoa. Say again why we do this?
Just because.
Similar conversations ensued today with John, Camille, Becca, Mandy, and Katie as well. One hour? I don’t get it, but I did it just now. Thank God my iBook resets its clock itself, otherwise I’d be really confused.
Kelly bought an adorable harvest crest thingie from the Crafts Fair today. I really like it! We put it on our door.
After dinner I called Mom, that was lovely. I didn’t want to hang up, but I had to catch Katie’s concert at eight, so I did. That was so beautiful! Everyone did a wonderful job. Professor Huang played the piano gorgeously, so relaxing. I enjoyed myself.
After that, we all hanged out in the kitchen for a few hours, talking, laughing, giggling over freshly baked cookies and tea. John and Camille carved a Halloween pumpkin while we talked.
Then Emily and I went over to Emily’s dorm and watched The Never-Ending Story while attempting Henna on each other. Although we weren’t too great at Henna, we had a wonderful time, and enjoyed hanging out with each other to no end. Emily’s really cool, she’s from New Mexico and is just one of those people you like to know~
