C. February 1997: Talya starts the very beginnings of Jerry’s namesake, Windy Conditions, though at the time it was called Spheres because JEREMY and Natalie Harris shared two seperate hemispheres of their brains, allowing them to read each other’s minds. “As far back as I can remember…” writes Natalie…now the beginning of that novel is, “For as long as they could remember…”
And Claire is the main character instead of Natalie. But Jeremy hasn’t changed. I based Jeremy on my younger brother, Joey, and he still remains my favorite character I’ve ever invented. Thus, I named my penname Jerry in honor of Jeremy.
The Christianson part is based on a superstition that my favorite authors all have last names starting with a C, or C-sounding noise.
So, there you have it: the story of Jerry Christianson’s birthday.
Tomorrow as a grand finale I will have a little bit of html for all of you to copy and paste into your blogs, or to just enjoy. Hope you enjoyed the celebration!
Don’t forget to celebrate your writing!
And a huge thank-you goes out to Tasha tonight–she is still my best reader and a wonderful friend.
